We live in Delhi, and Rishikesh is just 220 Km from Delhi; we often visit Rishikesh for relaxation but avoid weekends. You won’t find any peace on weekends. We planned a family holiday trip to Haridwar Rishikesh for my birthday.
We stayed in Haridwar on day 1. Payal and I are both adventure junkies, so we took our motorcycle to reach Haridwar, and Mom and Dad took the train.
It took only 4 hours and 30 minutes to reach Haridwar; we reached first and booked the hotel for Mom and Dad, too. We spent some time at Har ki Pauri in the evening, and on the next day, we visited Mansa Devi and headed to Rishikesh.
Rishikesh is a beautiful mountain town where people go to find peace and have exciting adventures. Recently, we took a family trip to Haridwar, and Rishikesh, my wife Payal, and I decided to make our vacation more fun by trying something daring—we went river rafting!
We chose to raft for 16 kilometers; it was one of the most exciting days of our lives.

When we reached the rafting starting point in Shivpuri, we were really excited. We put on life jackets and helmets and got our paddles ready, looking forward to the adventure ahead.
Our guide told us how to stay safe and raft properly, ensuring we were ready for the journey.
The adventure started with water splashing around us as we went through the fast rapids of the Ganges River. The scenery was amazing—lots of green trees and tall cliffs—and the sound of the river flowing over rocks was so calming.
Each rapid we went through was thrilling, like being on a roller coaster or solving a tricky puzzle.
But it wasn’t just about excitement. There were also peaceful moments when we could enjoy the beauty of the mountains and feel close to nature.
The best part was sharing this adventure with my wife, Payal. We worked together to paddle through the rapids, encouraged each other, and had much fun. It wasn’t just about finishing the rafting; it was about having a great time together.
By the end of the day, we felt proud of what we had accomplished. We faced challenges, enjoyed the adventure, and made memories that we’ll never forget.
Looking back, our rafting experience in Rishikesh wasn’t just about having fun; it was about exploring, pushing ourselves, and appreciating the beauty around us. It was a day full of laughter, excitement, and happiness.
